Moms Need a Break From Studies and Guilt

Posted by Charlene Prince Birkeland

What a great story title, no? Love it.

We can thank Sue Hutchison of the San Jose Mercury News for writing what working moms and stay at home moms have been saying for ions.

In her column this week, "Moms need a break from studies and guilt," Hutchison dives right into the heart of the past two weeks of motherhood-related media coverage. She sums it up quite nicely in her lede: "Well, it's certainly been a wild few weeks on the parental-guilt meter."

No joke.

I spoke with Sue last week on background for her story. She's a child-free gal, and the most wonderful thing about talking with her was seeing how she gets it. It's the most refreshing story I've read on this whole daycare and time study debocle. And how it impacts working moms.

Read it...and if you agree, send Sue a note thanking her for providing "real" slice of motherhood.
